Minority Report, although a bit creepy, was a very high-tech, up to date movie. A system known as PreCrime has been established in Washington D.C. and has kept the city murder-free for nmerous years. Three humans with special powers, known as the Precogs, see into the future to determine whether or not a murder will be commited. There are flaws in this system, however, and as they become more and more prevalent, the main character, played by Tom Cruise figures out the glitch. The movie is filled with suprise twists and keeps a very interesting story line. It's a pretty recent movie so the special effects were good but not awesome for this time. In addition, very few robots, if any, were involved.

Minority Report is a slightly disturbing movie about a futuristic Washington D.C. where all murders have been stopped by a three humans called precogs that dream baout the murders before they happen. This allows detectives to identify the killers and stop them, but when an unlikely suspect is dreamt about in a murder, he tries to run because he knows it is a set up to show a flaw in the system before the Pre Crime program is supposed to go nation wide. I thought the movie was a little unneccesarily long and took a long time to get to the climax. Overall it was a good movie, the plot was well thought out, with plenty of twists and turns to keep to guessing the whole time. I give it a 8/10

Yes, Minority Report is an absolutely fantastic movie. Yes, it has brilliant special effects and flawless storyline. However, this movie is missing the big picture of the entire theme of the movies we watch in the class: ROBOTS!!! The only robots present in the movie were when little two legged bug things crawled around and scanned people’s eyes. The movie is about a crime unit that prevents murders before they happen. The catch? The system turns on the protagonist (Tom Cruise) and projects him for the future murder of a stranger. Now, he is on a quest to find out who this person is, who framed him, and the horrible truth behind the PreCrime system itself. It addresses problems in society of whether or not it is ethical to judge people for an act that has not happened yet, but fails to address any robot or artificial intelligence issues (because there are no robots!). I award the movie 9 out of 10 stars, but on a robotic level, a score of NA is awarded.

Minority Report is a good movie, but its plot is kind of convoluted, and it is definitely creepy. It starts out with this detective, John Anderton, who's job it is to stop murders before they happen. He does this with the help of three "Pre-Cogs" who have the amazing ability to predict murders. So right away, this movie is not your average action flick. It is loosely based on a short story by Philip K. Dick by the same name, but the movie and story have completely different endings based on roughly the same set-up. What happens is that John Anderton gets a prediction for a murder that he commits. The plot leads him to a sketchy surgery, the woman who discovered the pre-cogs, the discovery that some people do have alternate futures, called minority reports, and the girl pre-cog who ends up coming to the murder with him, which he does commit, and then it gets discovered a murder was committed, by the guy running the whole pre-crime department. Its not quite as confusing as it sounds, but its close, and even though the movie has good action, and a cool concept, I think its not really as great as all that. It just seems a little to off the wall and confusing for me. Overall, it is worth seeing though, even if the robots are so insignificant they might as well not be there.

Minority Report was a very good movie! The idea of predetermining crimes and have "Pre-cogs" who were treated like celebrities that could detect future crimes is amazing, and actually really creepy. The entire movie had me jumping and creeped out. How would it feel to be convicted of a crime or murder you had not committed? Ideas throughout the movie were controversial, and had the viewers constantly wondering what they would do in such situations. Moral decisions were constantly being forced to be made, causing the movie to keep its audience interested. I liked this movie a lot, however it had little to no robotic action. The only form of robot in the movie consisted of weird spider-like robots that could detect people and test them to send information back to police. This idea is not very far-fetched, especially considering the fact that unmanned robots are currently in the process of being made. It is not too unreasonable to consider the idea of such robots being created in years down the road. The issue is whether or not they will recieve much action due to the fear humans have of such technology. Overall this was a very good movie!

Minority Report is an extremely interesting and thought-provoking film. The main theme of this film involves the ability to look into the future and to prevent crime before it actually occurs. Using this system of "Pre-crime" by tapping the mental processes of the "Pre-cogs," a pre-crime officer (Tom Cruise) sees a crime involving himself. The film then takes an action packed spin as the protagonists steals one of the three pre-cogs and attempts to solve the riddle behind this obviously blackmaled murder. This conflict is a very contraversial issue, how can anyone be sure that something is going to happen until it happens? This is the question that any viewer will ask himself upon viewing this film. The film does an excellent job of displaying this officer's conflict with this, seemingly perfected, system of justice. This film has good visual effects and just enough action and suspense to make it an enjoyable film. Although this is an enjoyable film, the concept of seeing into the future is very far-fetched and makes this film a little difficult to believe or to relate to. I would rate this film an 8/10.

Minority Report, was a very interesting and thrilling movie. The movie follows the story of A pre-crime officer, played by Tom Cruise, who is framed for a murder which he did not commit. With the aid of one of the three Pre-cogs, John Anderton attempts to prove his innocence and stumbles upon a secret flaw in the pre-crime system. If made public, this flaw would ruin the pre-crime systems credibility and completely destroy the entire pre-crime department. One of the most interesting things about the movie is the fact that it doesn't really have robots like all the other movies we have watched thus far. The only use of robots in the entire movie, were the "spider bots" that were used to identify people in the search for Officer Anderton. I thought that it was really cool that people were identified by thier eyes in the movie. That identification process would actually be very effective in future society, and in my opinion very possible. It was also really cool how Officer Anderton had his eyes replaced in order to avoid being caught by the police. Overall, I thought Minority Report had a gripping plot and very advanced special effects. I give this movie an overall rating of 8/10.

Minority Report is a great movie for anyone looking for a good story with a lot of action and special effects. The story is based on a "Pre-crime" organization who, through the use of three Pre-cogs (teenagers who can see horrible murders that happen in the future), stop crimes before they happen. the story picks up when one of the pre-crime officers, played by Tom Cruise, is framed by someone who makes it look like he will soon be committing a crime. With the use of the main Pre-cog, the officer fights his way out of being arrested many times and searches for who framed him and why. In the end the officer will find the flaws in the system that will be enough proof to shut the organization down. As for the robots, the only ones were spider looking machines that were used to identify people by scanning their eyes. Not much came from them. The movie was an excellent film that was able to balance out the action and story perfectly. I highly recommend watching it.

Minority Report was probably the freakiest movie we have watched simply because of the suspenseful plot and the somewhat scary parts. I liked the plot of it the best out of most of the other movies. It was in depth and definitely kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. I didn’t expect the ending to be what it was and I would recommend this movie to anybody who enjoys suspense and action films. It was set in 2054 and was definitely futuristic. It made me wonder if our society will actually be like that or if the movie was more advanced. The government had ‘pre-cogs’ that could predict murders and who would commit them before they happened. Washington D.C. tried it out and was 100% murder free after installing the pre-cog type of law enforcement. When the chief, played by Tom Cruise, is accused of a murder, he decides to find out if these pre-cogs are really all they are made out to be. The robots that I really saw in the film were the spider robots who were sent into everyone’s home to scan their eyes and check their identities. The stores and businesses had holograms and the cars were very futuristic, but I believe the only robots were the spiders. Minority Report was very technologically advanced and really showed off the ability of our movie producers to use special effects. I really enjoyed this movie and think that it portrayed most of our visions of the future very well. I give it an 8 out of 10.

I thought that Minority Report was a little creepy, and it was not what I thought it was going to be. The plot is that in the future, Pre-Cogs can predict when someone is going to commit murder. Therefore, they have developed a special team that prevents the murder and arrests the person who is supposed to commit the crime before they even commit it. However, there is a flaw in the system because sometimes the female Pre-Cog, Agatha sees a different image, known as a minority report. I guess the Pre-Cogs in this movie were considered the robots. They were humans with shaved heads and blank stares that had the ability to see into the future. My favorite part would have to be the sound track. Most of the time, in my opinion, the soft music that was played did not match the actions that were taking place. Overall, this movie is a psychological thriller and a bit confusing if you do not pay attention.
